In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
